Mobility as a Service
Here are a few projects that we gathered from our database for your information.
Ride Hailing

Uber and Ola are ride hailing services that are being now being challenged on grounds of open source and on the lines of being B2B tools for independent cab operators over being ride hailing aggregators that require unsustainable commissions.
Namma Yatri is one such project to look at, supported by Juspay and ONDC.
EV Charging
This requires a combination of software components for handling charging equipment, power supply from grid, controlling demand for peripheral equipment and more through features like equipment management, authentication, payments, analytics, etc.
EVCC is a program used for integrating solar charging and EV charge controllers.
UEI or Unified Energy Interface is an implementation of the Beckn project (decentralized commerce protocol). It is meant to allow EV users to charge across multiple charging networks with ease through easier payments and charging session management. The intiative for this use case is lead by the team from Pulse Energy.
EVerest is an open source software stack for EV charging infrastructure. The project was initiated by PIONIX GmbH.
Autonomous Driving
This requires application of AI and ML for computer vision, navigation, etc. and these are multiple projects impacting the same.
Comma AI is building self driving functionality for vehicles through the following software and hardware open source projects.
openpilot: an open source driver assistance system that supports 250+ supported car makes and models
comma three: a devkit that runs openpilot
Autoware is built on the Robot Operating System (ROS). It includes all of the necessary functions to drive an autonomous vehicles from localization and object detection to route planning and control, and was created with the aim of enabling as many individuals and organizations as possible to contribute to open innovations in autonomous driving technology.
TIER IV has led the development of Autoware, the world's first open-source software for autonomous driving, and applied Autoware in applications of last-mile driverless mobility and logistics.
Flowpilot is an open source driver assistance system built on top of openpilot, that can run on most windows/linux and android powered machines.
Drones require a comprehensive list of tools for flight control, navigation and other operations and ARDU Pilot is a trusted, versatile, and open source autopilot system supporting many vehicle types.
Public Transit, Smart City, Mobility Data

The Open Mobility Foundation is an open-source foundation with a mission to transform the way cities manage transportation in the modern era building open-source data standards and software in collaboration with public and private organizations.
MDS — “Mobility Data Specification”— is one such specification that standardizes communication and data-sharing between cities and private mobility providers, such as e-scooter and bike share companies. This allows cities to share and validate policy digitally, enabling vehicle management and better outcomes for residents.
CDS —“Curb Data Specification”—is a digital tool that helps cities and companies pilot and scale dynamic curb zones. CDS provides a mechanism for expressing static and dynamic regulations, measuring activity at the curb, and developing policies that create more accessible, useful curbs.
Shared Streets provides a modular kit for global referencing system which is used to move data between different street representations, whether data linked to OpenStreetMap, a city-managed GIS system, or a commercial basemap.
Parking Management

Parkerr is a open source smart parking browser application that enables you monitor parking spots using a webcam, cellphone camera, or any virtual camera. The tool uses computer vision object detection to operate and all the computation is processed inside browser utilizing TensorFlow.js.
Connected Mobility / Telematics
Traccar is a free and open source modern GPS tracking system meant for vehicles and fleets. Their products include, client and server side applications, APIs, GPS hardware and more.
DIMO is an open connected vehicle platform meant to allow drivers and fleets to share connected vehicle data for features like diagnostics, keyless entry, fleet management and more.
ERP

Utilized to help manufacturers control operations through automation of processes in finance, human resources, manufacturing, supply chain, services, procurement, and more.
ERPnext is a free and open-source integrated Enterprise Resource Planning software developed by Frappe.
